Jesus saw both qualities working in complete agreement. True love will always listen to and obey the teachings of Scripture (John 14:15). Love never resents ‘doctrine’. 2. Obedience to the commands of God, is simply a demonstrate of our love for God (Matthew 22:37-40). 3. The loving thing to do towards another is always to treat them according to the instructions given us in the Bible (Matthew 7:12; Romans 13:8-10). 3. Love doesn’t remove or supercede God’s law, rather it will always fulfill it’s obligations to His law. 4. Love will always side with the Truth (1 Corinthians 13:6; John 17:17).
