In reality, everyone is yearning and striving for what exists in heaven. A place of absolute fulfillment, happiness, satisfaction, meaning and purpose (Revelation 21:4). 2. Unfortunately, Satan has convinced many of us that we can have complete happiness in this life, and it can be ours right now! That the path to personal fulfillment and purpose is found in sinful activities (fornication, adultery, drunkenness, drugs, etc..) or in striving after earthly things (fame, wealth, physical comfort), instead of serving God (Matthew 6:24-34). 3. If we are honest, then we will realize that utopia won’t be found here (Ecclesiastes 2:1-11). For no earthly pleasure or pursuit can fill up and completely satisfy the soul of man. Everything in this life has a downside, a let-down. But such isn’t true of heaven (1 Peter 1:4). If you miss heaven, then you will miss out on what you have spent your whole life yearing for.
